Hail Wanderers!
Before I get into the meat of this update I wanted to share something with you! During the Indie Groundbreaker Awards at (digital) GenCon this year Afterlife: Wandering Souls won an award for Best Setting!
It's an amazing honour that Afterlife was even nominated, yet alone that it won. I personally wanted to thank all of you for helping to make Afterlife a reality, without you the book never would've been published and we never would've won the award. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
A Wanderer's Guide to Limbos and Mirages

PDFs - The limbo stretch goals went out to all eligible backers via BackerKit. PDFs of the Wanderer's Guide went out to backers who pledged for a physical copy of the book, these were sent out via DriveThruRPG. If you are due a copy of either and haven't received them, please first check your spam box, and then contact me via PM.
Didn't back, but want a copy? - If you didn't pick up a copy of the book and you want one, you can pick it up at our webstore HERE.
If you backed for the Wanderer's Guide and chose to bundle your shipping - Orders are being sent out in two weeks. You have until that time (4 September) to privately message me or email me: [email protected] with your change of address if necessary. If you don't we'll assume the address you entered in BackerKit is correct and your pledge will be sent there.
If you backed for a Wanderer's Guide and chose the option to receive the first part of your pledge and pay for shipping later - Head over to our webstore HERE. That link takes you directly to where you can pay for the shipping of your Wanderer's Guide. Put it in your shopping cart, check out, enter your address, and pay. That's it!
An apology - I know in my last update I mentioned the Guides were going out at the end of July/start August. I ended up delaying the packing of pledges for a time, because the Netherlands experienced an intense heatwave for two weeks. I didn't want team AHP to work in those conditions so I delayed until now, it's still warm, but pleasantly so. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Wanderer's Guide - Layout & Proofing

Hail Wanderers,
I hope everyone is staying happy and healthy in these difficult times. We have some exciting news! The Wanderer's Guide is nearly done with layout and will be going into proofing at the end of this week. I've already confirmed pricing and dates with the printers so we are set to start shipping everything out at the end of July. If this changes I will of course let you know, but everything is running smoothly so far. Here are a few screenshots of the book in layout!
(Note: the images are slightly pixelated because of how InDesign's preview interface works - they'll be nice and crisp in PDF form & print.)

This art piece my Ines is one of my stand-outs from the book. I love the way it turned out <3
Digital Stretch Goals
As for the digital stretch goals - as you know the mirages were rolled into the Wanderer's Guide as well, so once we get the Wanderer's Guide proofed I'll create a separate PDF of the SG mirages for everyone. This will likely happen after AHP sends out the physical copies of the Guide, because international shipping can take some time and I want people to get their physical rewards as soon as possible.
Black Visions Collective
In other news, now is a fantastic time to check out our DriveThruRPG page and purchase a game from Angry Hamster Publishing. All the proceeds from our DTRPG sales for the month of June will be donated to the Black Visions Collective. In their own words the, “BLVC is committed to a long term vision in which ALL Black lives not only matter, but are able to thrive. May Update - Editing

Hail Wanderers!
Liz here, my apologies for that interruption to our normal Kickstarter updates. Luckily, we've banished all the goblins from AHP HQ and set up several wards to ensure they don't come back! Now a normal update :D.
Work on the Wanderer's Guide is going well! Check out the progress:
Art - All the art is in! Save the cover, which Lorena is working on at the moment. I decided to commission a unique piece of art for the cover rather than use the piece from the British Library you've all seen. I think the art piece will give the book a better presence on the shelf and also it will link back to our core book so the two books look like they belong together! My plan is to create more books for Afterlife and since the Wanderer's Guide is the first one, I wanted to get off on the right foot.
Text - 90% of the text is now in editing with Monte. I am wrapping up one final chapter and then it is done! At the same time I am also working through Monte's edits... curse you Monte for curtailing my excessive use of em dashes *shakes fist*.
Layout - I have the layout template ready to go, though some of it is subject to change based on how everything fits. Here's a preview of the page decoration!
Still need to work on the edge of page art!

this is update for you. we need you to know very important information, which we now share - SO LISTEN
1) Angry Hamster Publishing is a stupid name. it is cancelled. Now called Angry GOBLIN Publishing.
2) Liz dont do updates any more. she is boring and stupid. Now goblins do updates, these are superrior good updates.
Fur) Afterlife is big failure, book was too smoothe and with terribule language. Goblins fix that now. We stop work on lame lame Wanderer's Guide - or whatever stupid Liz is naming things - and we make goblins game instead. Got it? CANCELLED

March Update - Wanderer's Guide Art!

Hail Wanderers,
I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe. It's been a rough week for everyone and if you or a loved one are being badly affected by the pandemic, my thoughts are with you <3. To do my little bit to help everyone with their social distancing AHP has made the PDF of our game Familiars of Terra pay what you want through the end of the month. You haven't heard from me in a while, so I thought I would hop on and let you know how things are going - they are going well! I've been busy finishing up the Wanderer's Guide text and it is going off to Monte at the end of the month. The last thing I need to write is the backer's limbos, which I saved for the end as a reward for myself, because they seems like to much fun to create! In my free time I've also started the layout template, but I am not ready to show it to you just yet.
I also wanted to show you some of the amazing are commissioned for the Wanderer's Guide. Take a look at the pretties!

This is Claudia's take on Jabari Weather's limbo Reflé! Every limbo in the book will have its own illustration.
